The reason regeneration is not understood by many is – they do not understand Total Depravity.

V. The Scriptural Doctrine of Regeneration A. Regeneration is not by the will of man. John 1:12-13
B. When the Holy Spirit regenerates there are tell-tale signs. John 3:1-8 C. No man has the ability to regenerate himself. John 6:41-45, 63 Ephesians 2:1-10
D. Regeneration is not by works, but by God's work Titus 3:5-6
E. Regeneration is by the sovereign choice of God 2 Thess 2:13-14
F. God Alone opens eyes and closes eyes Mat 11:25-28 Romans 8:7-8
