I love hearing of the saving work of Jesus. And, on several occasions, Paul took advantage of the opportunity given to him to bear witness to the undeniable interruption of Jesus in his life. In Acts 22 we're given a narrative of one of those times. So, I traced through the Scriptures and found a common thread in the testimonies of the saints. And I believe I need to pass them on to you. You or someone you love needs to hear and know this. It is by no means exhaustive but it will give you something to look for in your own life and those you love. Listen to it. Go read the transcript of the message if you read faster than I can talk. Read it through. Ponder it. Reflect upon it and use it.
A Testimony — What Should We Listen and Look For?
First, it is important to recognize the difference between what and who someone trusts.
Why is this essential?
You can trust God's plan of salvation — WITHOUT — trusting the Person (Jesus) who saves — in God's saving plan. The plan doesn't save — Jesus does.
But you cannot trust the Person (Jesus) who saves — WITHOUT —trusting His plan to rescue you and others with His everlasting hope.
Plans don't save... Jesus saves. Many have believed the plan WITHOUT trusting Jesus — and — entrusting their lives to Him and His eternal purpose.
I look or listen for six marks when people share their stories with me.
