I love this time of year, when so much of the world is focused on the coming of Jesus. Don’t you? Advent season is also a reminder that our Lord is coming again. It’s our privilege – and challenge – to live in anticipation of His return. “And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.” (1 John 2:28 – NKJV) John the Apostle urged 1 st Century believers to live each day as the day they would see Jesus face to face. In God’s reckoning of time, every day for us could be that day. Tremendous blessings are promised to us as we abide in Christ, expecting His imminent return. This Sunday, we’ll return to our study of 1 John with, “Real Christianity: Living with confidence.”
