The greatness and importance of Jesus Christ, God's Son, is highlighted very succinctly in the opening verses of this epistle. God appointed Him heir of all things having made the world through Him. Jesus Christ is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature. He is upholding all things by His power. During His earthly ministry He made purification of sins and following His death and resurrection, ascended back to heaven and sat down at the Father's right hand. From there He carries on His ministry today as Advocate and Intercessor for believers.
