They All Took A Stand
Some…
Some Stood For Some Stood Against Some Stood Concerned Some Stood Scorning
But all stood…
Who are they?
Magi — stood for Jesus — they sought, sacrificed, served, shared, surrendered, submitted…
Herod — stood opposed — he took a stand against the King and attempted to snuff out His life and rule.
Jerusalem/the people — stood concerned — being concerned, they were shaken by the news that an interruption of their lifestyle and ways could be imposed upon them. It agitated and unsettled them in the wrong way.
Priest/Scribes — stood scorning — for they snubbed and scorned what they knew and wouldn't sacrifice the time to travel the 5 miles to see and validate the truth being told them.
I've been thinking about the different people mentioned in Matthew 2. Like Herod, the wise men, and the priest. The more I ponder them I see several groups that relate to people in our day. We, one way or another, fall into one of these groups of people. In Matthew 2 we find Herod, the wise men, the people, and the priests.

We connect with one more than the other…
What's your position? Where do you stand? Which one describes you? Who do you reflect or mirror more?
