To accomplish this end: He had to be made like unto His people. "It behoved him to be made like unto his brethren." It required a human body – perfectly human. That is the miracle of the incarnation we are celebrating at Christmas, This is the reason for the Season. The apostle argues: He did not take the nature of angels – that would be much less. He took the nature of the children of Abraham. So, the Lord came down, down, down, from glory.
