1) All sins are the same. The apostle Paul informs us that sexual immorality is unique amongst all the sins. Jesus stated that blaspheming the Holy Spirit is an unforgivable, 1 John 5:16-17 states that all sin is not the same. Revelation 21:8 speaks about liars as being different than the others also Revelation 22:15. The confusion that says all sin is the same comes from the fact that everybody sins. Also, we are all disqualified to earn our way into Heaven. If we realize that we are sinners and cannot enter in eternal life apart from Jesus. There is no room to condemn others. Preachers should not single out certain sins that only offend a small amount of the congregation. We should be people who love the truth and hate lies.
2) Do not judge or you will be judged. Matthew 7:1-6 Jesus said do not judge or you will be judged. If you do, you will be judged with the same measure that you judge others. Jesus says to first deal with the situation yourself, then you will be able to help others. Jesus goes on to say that we are supposed to be able to tell the difference (judge) between a dog and a person, between a pig and a pearl. Matthew 18:7-20, Jesus says that believers have authority to do what He says. John 7:24. Jesus says to stop judging by appearances only but instead judge correctly.
