I want to speak to you now of the perfections of God the Father which are perfectly seen in Christ His Son. The Truth that I want to proclaim to you is this: All of the glorious attributes and perfections which are in God the Father, in His nature, and in the glorious essence of His Being, they are only revealed savingly to men, through their beholding the glory of Jesus Christ His Son. The Father has purposed that the Son would reveal everything about Him that He would have made known. This was the purpose of the Incarnation. This was the purpose of God's sending His only-begotten Son into the world. It was that, by these mighty acts of His appointment, that the truth about His own greatness, and holiness, and goodness, might be perfectly displayed in Christ. In the Incarnation of Jesus our Lord, the Father would reveal the greatness of His eternal mind and heart. So, 1st of all we want to behold Christ as being the brightness of the Father's glory. And then 2nd, we want to behold the glory of Christ in that He is the Express Image of the Father.
