Grace ALWAYS Recognizes Grace
No one right with God question the grace and guidance of God. Peter was manipulated by the enemy and questioned the grace of God but at the time he was not functioning in grace. Jesus, who was the personification of grace, recognized both, what was of grace and who was not.
Luke 11:38 "when he saw it…"
This man, like those who witnessed the work in Luke 8 (the demonic) and begged Jesus to leave, can only see what Jesus didn't do and not who He is. He could ONLY see Jesus as unclean, unsavory and unwanted because He didn't do what he thought He should do. This same spirit is present when people expect God to do it their way and when He doesn't, they focus on what He didn't do.
Luke 14:1-2 (the same applies to how some will use other people and their problems (man with dropsy) to catch Jesus or us in a way that can discredit the wonder, wisdom ways and works of God. They (the opposition) brought a man with dropsy, or like they do in our day by bringing up a circumstance that didn't go their way, only to see how we explain it. And like the difference between Peter and the Pharisee in how they saw it, compare Martha and Mary to these guys. Mary sat at His feet in her home, they brought Him to watch Him not worship Him? Why? They could not see and recognize who He is. Their default was not to adore but to accuse…
