They must first be made to know, understand, and believe the condition of who they are in their fallen, depraved state. This is what makes the gospel a sweet savor to those that are born of God. Because they have been made to know, understand, and believe who they were without the grace of God. And exactly what Christ as accomplished for them.
This is the good news, this is the power of the Gospel.
