He chose to be born as a helpless babe, the child of a very young Jewish maiden. As the prophet tells it: For unto us a child is born and unto us a Son is given. And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. That is the greatest miracle in all of human history, a miracle so unexpected, so astonishing that it begs a profound question: Why did He do it?
