This morning as we look into the gospel according to Mark, I desire to exhort you to “Be Not Afraid, Only Believe.” In the passage that is before us, we are introduced to a hopeless woman who has been in a continual cycle of pain and disappointment and a set of parents whose grieve is deep and are embracing dreams which are being shattered. You and I can probably relate to situations where it seems like nothing will ever change. Along the way, we may have also face challenges where it seems that our dreams have died. This morning, it is my desire to direct you to the One who can heal the broken and raise the dead. His name is Jesus. He calls us to “Be Not Afraid, Only Believe.” From Mark 5:20-43, we will consider the following 1)A Deseperate Dad 2) A Sick Woman and 3) A Dead Daughter and the astonishing power of Jesus to meet each of their needs.
