Out of seemingly small and insignificant things come great and mighty things. This is one of the great principles of truth which those who know the Lord should remember and live their lives by it. The Lord sometimes delights to bring a man out of obscurity in order to do a great work in the society in which he lives. How much more so in the giving of His own beloved Son. Everything that has anything to do with His Only-Begotten has significance in His sight. Even the city in which He would be born - Bethlehem. Bethlehem is small but significant. Bethlehem may be a small and insignificant place in the eyes of men, but God chose her to be the place where His Son would be born into this world. The greatest man, the most holy man, the most loving man who has ever lived came from Bethlehem. And so I believe that we who are believers and also all who would become believers should take cognizance of Bethlehem Ephratha.
