In order to save his people it was necessary for the Son of God to make three appearances in human flesh. Divisions: 1. He once appeared in humiliation to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself (v. 26). 2. He now appears in heaven, in the presence of God, to make intercession for his people (v. 24). 3. He shall appear in honor to consummate the great work of salvation for his people (v. 28).
