According to the Bible, the grand over-arching narrative that explains all of world history and daily life is an ongoing war betwen God and the devil, between the forces of good and the forces of evil. The warfare is invisible to humans and so we either believe it because of faith in God's Word, or we deny it because we can't see it. If we deny it, then we prove ourselves to be the victims of the naturalistic, evolutionary, atheistic worldview that Satan himself has authored. In our day and age, everything must be explained by natural causes, by science, by chemicals, etc. So pervasive is this wordlview that Christians do not have demonic influence on their radar screens. One is ashamed to even suggest demonic influence as the cause for some of the physical and spiritual problems we see today. To even acknowledge the possibility is to open oneself up to scoffing from secularists and even from Christians who fear being associated with the charismatic movement. Brethren, spiritual warfare is not the intellectual property of charismatics. It is a reality clearly portrayed in the pages of scripture. We are to be sober and on the alert, because we have a formidable enemy who seeks to devour.

Prayer and FASTING The Authorized King James Version which i know and believe to be GOD's preserved word for the last 500 years reveals the truth about this passage of Scripture. With all due respect to you Mr Knapp, you are using a "new age" Bible version that has been tampered with by the very enemy you warn about in this sermon. Fasting is all through the Scriptures and a diligent study of the word will reveal to you the significance of our LORD's statement in Mark 9:29 AKJV. Also i exhort you and every reader of this reply to study(2Tim2:15)the 2 scholars Westcott and Hort who translated the 1811 Revised Version. You will find that not only did they translate the New Testament on a "new" Greek Text that was NOT the Textus Receptus but both characters were into necromancy and had other ungodly beliefs. It all goes downhill from this 1811 Version right down to the abominable new age NIV per Version that has approx 64,000 words not found in the AKJV. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children"-Hosea4:6
