In this passage, Paul examines the intimacy of his ministry to the church in Corinth. Is he a one-time, pop-in, preach-and-leave sort of minister? Far from it! Real ministry involves love, and love means relationship. An "engraving on the heart" of both ministered-to and minister happens. God makes us sufficient to do this ministry, but He causes its success. What an incredible honor, but a great responsibility!
