Here, as in our Jude passage we find an emphasis on God's dealing in wrath with those who have lived ungodly lives in the past. With our words we must be under the leading of the Holy Spirit so that we don't dishonor our Lord. The false prophets and teachers are the same down through the ages. They pretend to be godly but are enslaved to their own lusts and behave as unreasoning animals behave. they promise freedom while they are themselves, slaves of corruption.
