Died: December 7, 2018 He was born in Miami, FL to the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald H. Hansill (Martha). Bill was a registered nurse for over 40 years and held a M.S. degree from the Univ. of South Carolina. He managed several home health care agencies, worked as a surveyor for the Joint Commission, and served as a summer nurse at The Fresh Air Home on Tybee Island and the Summer Therapeutic and Enrichment Program of Savannah (STEPS). He was a member of Independent Presbyterian Church, the Coastal Scottish Heritage Society, the American Nurses Association and volunteered as a docent for the Savannah Tour of Homes and Gardens and The Davenport House. Bill was a doting husband and father and he loved to walk the family dogs, bike ride, exercise, listen to Celtic music, and travel, Scotland being one of his favorite destinations.
Survivors: His wife of 33 years, Karen Cooley Hansill, a daughter, Courtney Elizabeth McIntosh (Clayton) of Smyrna, GA, a brother, Mr. Robert B. Hansill (Ginger) of Lakeland, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
