Pastor Jeff gives what we believe is the correct interpretation of John 3:5-6. Many have interpreted 'the water' as baptism. Others have explained it as physical birth (the natural water one is enveloped in while in the womb).
Pastor Jeff believes both of those interpretations are incorrect and gives what he believes is the reasonable answer that Jesus intended Nicodemus to understand.

Great Sermon! I wanted to make a comment on this series of sermons titled 'Difficult Verses Explained' not just this one in particular. There are 7 so far and they vary in length from 3 to 19 minutes. These are indeed difficult verses so it's nice to have a resourse available that is quick and to the point to refresh my memory, I really appreciate the way this is set up.

Great Sermon! I was never sure what the "water" of John 3:5 meant. But now I feel confident of it's meaning. I love the connection between John 3:5 and Ezekiel 36:25-27!! How very great is the love of God to His children. This sermon is an excellent exegesis of John 3:1-15.
