Freedom from the Law is not freedom to sin and serve the flesh. The flesh describes and encompasses the desires and passions that are expressed through the physical body. Those desires and passions are still corrupt and seeking fulfillment in ungodly ways. The word of God draws the line in the balance of how the believer lives out the freedom from the law while not living licentious and lewd. Freedom in Christ moves the believer out from slavery to the law and into slavery to God. The freedom to serve God will be exercised in relationships with other believers with love being the governor for living with one another in the body of Christ.
