The stone upon which the Ark came to rest became known as lamenting, or death= Abel. The reson why is given in these verses. And we learn from this apssage that God is a Holy God who is to be approached with reverence.

3.Their Contentment- Ch7v1,2. - to give up the Ark - to rest in the external performances of religion without the presence or acceptance of God.There was the Absence of the Holy God.!!
