“ Great Sermon! ” Not only was this an excellent exposition of the Word (and of the Westminster Standards), it is a message for our time--when even those who claim Christ's name and purport to work in His service and according to His Word seek to establish man's agenda at the expense of God's commands. And why? Because it works. The message? God needs our help to get the job done right, even if it means breaking the rules He has established. (I guess, as it turns out, He really didn't know what He was talking about.) God help us! To the contrary, the sovereign God stoops to use us in HIS work on earth. The realization of our privileged position should impel us to glorify Him by doing His work His way, not our own, trusting His sovereign (and at times inscrutable) will and boundless mercy to accomplish all He has ordained.
