At this hour we want to understand that a part of holiness is paying attention to your household and sanctifying what God has given to you. Job was a great and eminent example of this, and so we ought to take notice of it. I want you to see with me 1st of all, that Job sanctified his marriage. (verse 2) Then 2nd – He sanctified his possessions. (verse 3) And then 3rd – Job sanctified his children in relation to their knowing and walking with the Lord. (verses 4 and 5) I pray that as you listen to this message you will come to understand how Job improved upon what God had given to him, in a wise and holy way, and that you might consider what you have been given by God, and improve upon it wisely, as well.
