God will bring upon those who deny the Messiah, those nearest to the promise indeed, judgment for their rejection. Plagues here that reveal the clarity and particularity of Christ's judgment, plagues like those which fell upon Egypt, and a cruse of disunity not unlike that which felt upon Babel. How Jerusalem had fallen, now counted among the wretched judged among the men of earth.
