We need to always remember that there is a lot going on that we cannot see. If we go without food and we are not seeking the Lord, the fast is worthless. We tend to think that God draws near to us when things are going really well. Sometimes when God draws near, it does not feel so good. We might feel overwhelmed and wiped out. There is an invisible demonic force that is busily trying to bring destruction on the earth. They have a hierarchy and are located in different geographical locations. Demons and the Devil are not welcomed where God’s children live. Just because we cannot see things with our eyes, does not mean they are not there. The more we learn about the creation, the more we will be amazed by the kindness and wisdom of our God. We live in a fallen world and we need to not be preoccupied with things that are temporal, but instead focus on the things of God. God has promised to preserve, protect, and reward all of those who are His.
