After Dr. Spock came an effort among Christians to revive a Biblical approach to child training in the 1970s and 1980s. This is all but gone now. The latest fad in American evangelicalism is to purge all of that "law stuff" out of the churches in favor of an antinomian "grace." Great Sermon! Great teaching , thanks Kevin. It is possible to raise godly children but if you have one parent( Father) calling himself a Christian but smoking dope (2-3 times a day) they see a huge disparity. Should the Christian mother just keep on keeping on , telling her children the right thing to do but getting no support on this issue from the Father. Should she stay and gradually see all of her children slowly take up this dope smoking in their teens. Yes sure most of these children having grown and left have stopped on a regular basis but some haven't.What's your opinion? Husband has promised to stop countless times but always take it up again. Yours sincerely,in Christ
a concerned mother.
