The sovereign election of God is inclusive in that the Lord chose men “of every tribe and tongue and people and nation” (Rev. 5:9). The Gospel is exclusive in that whether you are Jew or Gentile, you must bend your knee before Christ as Lord, or you will perish. Jesus is either the Rock upon whom we build our lives with faith, or he is a stumbling stone upon whom we will fall in judgment.
