God used the man Daniel as His spokesman to reveal details of His plan for the future of mankind and the nations. An overriding theme through the book is God's rule as the Most High God over all the affairs of mankind as His purposes are carried to fruition according to His divinely determined timeline. God being immutable continues to be sovereign over all and is yet moving the timeline of all earth's history along as He so wills.
