Jesus At Twelve Years Old

What were you like at twelve years old? If you think about that prior to reading this portion of Luke's Gospel it may serve as a humbling precursor that helps you better appreciate the perfect humanity of the Jesus as it's seen in this account. This is the only record we have of Jesus' youth [outside of His circumcision, dedication at the Temple, and the visitation of the wise men from the East]; and, this passage contains the first recorded words of Jesus in Scripture; all of which suggest this account was carefully selected and divinely intended to be of great importance. May you enjoy beholding the Son of God in this study and be exhorted to make His words your own by the time you come to the conclusion of the passage.
