Last week we talked about the importance of taking thoughts captive. It's a must for every servant of Jesus. So, Sunday night, on a whim, we took the last song we sang during the evening service and took the lyrics and thoughts captive to validate and nullify them based on the word of God. They should be rooted in and the result of hearing and heeding the message of the Lord. We paralleled these steps with Stephen, a shining star, a servant full of all the right things, in Acts 7, who has led many to righteousness, did this very thing (Daniel 12:3).
We also look into the gift of being frustrated by the Lord. And how it is all used to remind us of the irreplaceable principle of seeking Jesus — first!
Come join us as we use this song as an example of what it means to take every thought — our own and those presented to us — captive so that we can measure by Jesus and His message.
