Verse 41 says, “Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury.” The good work of giving to the work of God is a work which is important to the progress of truth and righteousness spreading to the ends of the earth. There was a treasury in the temple in Old Testament times and in that time the common people were expected to give based upon the truth of the Scriptures. In New Testament times, it is the same. The treasury is Christ's treasury. You and I need to think about this unusual passage of Scripture so that we will learn to be generous givers. And 3rd – He observes this one poor woman. I think that we can learn from Jesus' observations.
