A great practical error that we might be prone to as children of god is passing sentence upon others, whether they might be believers or not, based on our own unbiblical bias, that is, of things that we conjured up from our own imaginations. Christians are to make judgments. They must make hard decisions sometimes. The point of James is to make them with mercy. In judgment some of us might omit mercy. These two things, judgment and mercy met together in Christ, and they should meet together in the heart of every child of God.
