Blessings friends, can I give you a little something to consider about our Nesting with Jesus reading in Matthew 24 and 25? From the flow and pattern of the two chapters, and the questions asked, in them, I think this will help you understand the aim of these two chapters and the one parable He gives us.
The (1) parable found in these two chapters is a challenging one for sure. First off, keep in mind that the (3) stories found in the parable start at the close of 24 and continues into chapter 25. And how I've come to understand the message is paying close attention to chapter 24. In Matthew 24:4, after they asked Jesus about the signs, we find the beginning of their dialogue... and this is what Jesus shares with them, "Take heed that no one deceived you..." This question is fundamental to the rest of the dialogue. From that point on Jesus explains to them how prevalent the deception will be during the last days. I encourage you to take a minute and circle or note how many references are made toward deception and decievers in chapter 24:4-44. THEN notice the question Jesus asked in Matthew 24:45. Note... He asked the question to set the up to pay attention to the answer. Therefore, He had every intention to answer the question for them
