What does it mean to walk in the Fear of God? What does it mean to walk in the Comfort of the Holy Spirit? These are the two descriptions Luke chooses to describe the condition of the church as it multiplied throughout Judea, Samaria and Galilee.
Our desire is the the church should multiply in our own day and age. We want to see both internal and external growth in the church: internally, growing in maturity and conformity to Christ; externally, growing in new converts won and an increase numerically.
If that is our desire, we should seek to understand and experience the fear of God and the comfort of the Holy Spirit. This sermon looks to unpack the meaning of those two terms and apply them to the church of the 21st Century.
