The Ark Drank The Cup! How does God hiding Himself tell us the How of salvation?
With the conversation between the Godhead at Gethsemane there are incredible mysteries. And these are amazing. You have the will of God and the will of God... seemingly different wills but they are actually the same. The Son does not have remorse for having to drink the cup. God is longsuffering and willing that all would be saved, 2 Peter 3:9. The God/man is suffering, but not in the way that we might suspect. God in the flesh is suffering at what He will do by drinking the cup. But the will of the Son becomes the will of the Father. Christ has three phases. Before the cross He is in the Prophet state and the will exhibited here is that of His office at that time. The sorrow of Christ is the evidence of that fact. He is reprising the action of the first Adam, the sorrow for his fallen bride.
