[PDF updated 2014] Though we are to "contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints," over the centuries many departures from apostolic doctrine have been made, both by true and counterfeit Christians alike. The "Preterist" view of Bible prophecy, a heresy that arose in the fourth century and survives today through the Protestant churches that came out of Rome, spiritualizes scriptures that should be taken literally, denies that Christ will reign literally and personally on this earth, and dangerously misinterprets currently relevant prophecies as having been fulfilled centuries ago, causing many to turn a blind eye to unfolding fulfillment and to foolishly believe Bible prophecy is a "back-burner issue."
On the other hand, in the 1800's another heresy was popularized known as the "Pretribulation Rapture" doctrine. Despite the fact that there are NO scriptures to support it, and that it is in fact in DIRECT CONFLICT with several passages of scripture, this false teaching has come to be seen as fundamental, unquestionable dogma by multiplied thousands of deceived Christians today who are as ill-prepared to face what lies ahead as are the preterists.
This two-part message briefly but soundly refutes both of these heresies, and was preached to the church while Bro. Adams served as interim pastor to declare his position on both topics. This is a controversial subject but the hour is late and it is high time for the Church to wake up to the fact that for the most part, those that have not been deceived by radical Preterism have been deceived instead by radical Dispensationalism. Wake-up call: the church has glorious days of persecution ahead of it!

Excellent Sermon! Amen, brother! Thank you for posting this sermon, it was edifying. I have been a solid posttribulationalist for four years. Keep up the good work.

Great Sermon! If Gods people would repent and return perhaps we could have revival again and the issue of sodomite marriage would be thwarted by our Lord.
This sermon greatly blessed my poor needy soul today by a Free Presbyterian who appears to have studied under Christ and then Ian Paisley. Please pass it on to all preachers for encouragement.
