Fallen Man 2: The Transmission of Sin  Introduction Last time we considered the historical account of the fall and the immediate consequences of it, as we considered the curses it drew not only to Adam and Eve but for the rest of mankind.  Today I want us to concentrate into how was the sin of our first parents transmitted to all of mankind. Now that Adam and Eve were sinners, though they were still image bearers of God, this image was affected because of their sin. This new reality would not stop with them but it would be transmitted to their posterity and just as the curse in the garden was transferred to mankind, so it was with their sin Rom 5:12
Humanity Created: - Man Fourfold Stage -
1-Man Created: Man in the garden 2-Fallen Man: Man after sin 3-Man Redeemed: Man forgiven and restored in Christ 4-Man Glorified: Man after death
We will consider this doctrine under two headings: The transmission of sin The transmission of a sinful nature
Transmission of Sin
1. From Adam's fall we inherit the guilt of his sin 2. In Adam's Fall, we inherit his sinful nature
Conclusion  The philosophical, psychological and sociological answers to the problem of sin fall short.  The Biblical answer is: God made Adam perfect, but he chose evil and as a result, we are born sinners hence we sin. God uses common grace to restrict evil in the world, and special saving grace to prevent man from continuing being a slave to sin, but that he may live for God's Glory and Honor
