How tempted we are to measure others by our own experiences and expectations! Jesus' gentle rebuke to Peter serves us well: "Don't concern yourselves with what I choose to do with other of my followers. You just keep following Me." Our Lord's charge to follow Him is both general and specific. All who follow Jesus will find themselves traveling in the same general direction of denying self, exalting Christ and making Him known. But the details of our journeys will be quite diverse. May God grant each of us grace to hear and follow His leading, and allow others liberty to do likewise.
