Today, we are going to enter Jerusalem once again with Jesus. He is not going to Pilate’s house to check things out. He is going to His Father’s house once again to teach. Can you see the beauty of this? The Prophet, Priest, and King is ministering from the house of worship. I can see Jesus fulfilling the words of the prophet Moses in Deuteronomy 32:1-4, “Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth 2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:3 Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. 4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.” While Jesus in ministering to the people in the Temple, His authority is challenged by the chief priests, scribes, and elders. What does it mean? Can God’s authority be challenged? Can His position be overthrown? Many in the world would like to overthrow the Most High Monarch, but He will not be moved from His rightful place. This morning, the title will be, “Christ’s Authority.” We will consider the following 1) The Authority of God Over Your Life 2) The Anger That Leads Your Farther Astray 3) The Anger and Submission That Brings You Joy.
