Faith is what PROPELS the believer into new and unknown territory... yet, it's ALWAYS clear on Who it is that's leading them though it. (Romans 10:17)
"Being persuaded Abraham obeyed when he was called... And he went out, NOT KNOWING where he was going. And being persuaded he dwelt in the land of promise, as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents... [and building his altars] for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God." (Hebrews 11:8-10)
Abraham was a man of faith who PITCHED his tents... but BUILT altars.
What would you say he emphasized was more important in his life?
Lifestyle worship... the ONLY exception to this way of life that characterized his journey is when he found himself in sin. When he misrepresented His God and family, he neglected the altar (lifestyle worship), failed to trust God, misused the covenant and settled down in the land he was to simply pass through. And Isaac, also, repeated these same costly, yet temporary, miscalculations and missteps in his journey (Genesis 26).
I'm learning, from day to day, how to pitch my tents and build my altars. Blessings, my friends, have a lovely day celebrating life, love and grace...
