Can Your Goodness Save You? No… You need God's blood
We continue to be in Romans 5:12, and therefore we’re in Genesis 2, 3 and 4. And we won’t get out of Romans 5:12-14 for quite a while. Most pastors will give you lectures on Romans 5:12 and give you Genesis 3 only, but you really need to go to Genesis 2 and Genesis 4 as well. Pastor contends that Cain and Able are connected to Romans 5:12. And that leads you to the necessity of the virgin birth, with leads you to the origin and chemistry of blood. Hey… I’m just the guy taking notes. If you’re confused, then you’ll need to listen. This teaching was elementary in the 1800’s. We seem to have lost it. Genesis 4 talks about the blood sacrifice of Able and the bloodless sacrifice of Cain. And people today want to say that it’s not about blood but about attitude, and nothing can be farther from the truth. God will only accept an innocent blood covering. Those of you who do not like our pastor correcting other pastors need to read Ezekiel 3:16-19. We are to correct men and women who teach wrong things and it is love to do so. And by the way… Genesis 2 is also about blood but pastor says he’ll do more on that later.
