Commandments 3,4,5 of progressive Christianity see reconciliation as merely between people and not God, that it's better to act nicely than to believe "rightly", and that it's safer to ask questions and be unsure than supply orthodox answers. At the very root problem of these commands is that they fail to acknowledge the authority of Scripture. For Scripture tells us that reconciliation must take place between God and man before it can between men. Scripture also tells us that we cannot know to behave "rightly" if we are not told by Scripture what is right behavior. And finally, that remaining in a state of uncertainty is impossible. We are ALL certain about something. The question is whether that certainty is derived from God's Word or from our own carnal desires.
