Love will be one of the casualties of the later days when the iniquity of many abounds and the love of many will consequently grow cold: matthew 24:12. This need not be the case with you. Read one of the more neglected psalms; psalm 88, the Darkness psalm. Undoubtedly much or all of this psalm is about Christ--probably during the crucifixion when it went dark at mid-day: "Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour:" Matthew 27:45. Here is Christ taking the curse for me, here is love for the greiviously undeserving--"who loved me and gave himself for me." Turn aside and see this great sight and see if it does not reignite love for God and for man--lost and saved.
