Blessings and grace to you. This segment (part 2 of 3) was taught at the Chapel Sunday morning (1.8.2023). We spent some time covering a few significant things in the first portion of Acts as we explored a few thoughts from Acts 7, Acts 6, Acts 8, and John 15:26-16:4.
Lord willing there will be a little something to encourage and edify you in it. Blessings…
Message title: The Promise and Power of Persecution
A few things to note.
Things we gleaned:
- The Disciples were planted abroad.
- The Gospel being spread abroad.
- Persecution propelled the movement.
- A missions movement can be powered by persecution.
- Convenience can give birth to a comfortable, even, easy, experience and existence.
The Expectation of Trouble and Triumph
- A promise of a Helper.
- A promise of A Hard Time.
- A promise that people will harm you, in God's name.
- A promise that the good thing will be cloaked in a hard thing.
- A promise that He will help and guide them through the trouble.
God's people triumph through trouble.
Our greatest adversaries and foes can become our greatest advocates and friends.
They who are burden to us today can be a blessing to us tomorrow.
Pain and persecution are temporary but His joy last forever. And as we walk in faith with the Lord His peace will guard us through every circumstance and conflict.
