Brothers and Sisters in the Lord: Jesus described himself with 7 "I am statements." The "I am" statements prove his Deity. "I am" is the same root of Yahweh, which means "I am," or "I exist." This was how Jesus revealed himself to Moses at the burning bush -that pivotal time in human history when God re-established his covenant relationship with the whole nation. This name invoked confidence in who God is…his ability to rescue Israel from hell and take them to Canaan.
