Here this morning we find that Lot has fallen into yet another sin. And it is a sin that is the worst sin for a true Christian to fall into. No, it is not drunkenness, although he was guilty of that. No, it is not incest, although he was deceived into that. These were great sins indeed, but there was a greater one still. And it was the root sin of the other two. It was the sin of unbelief. The sin of unbelief is the worst of sins, both in a believer as well as an unbeliever. This is because when a person falls into unbelief, or lives often in it, they cannot glorify God. They are not trusting in God's wisdom and power to help them to see what they need to do to encourage themselves to obey to God's Word to them.
