I. Why Pray?: 1. God commands us to pray, 2. Prayer aligns us with God's purposes, 3. Prayer gives glory to God (Jn 14:13), 4. The magnitude of the forces arrayed against us requires us to pray, and 5. Self.
II. How Should We Pray?: Rom 8:26, True prayer is struggling, wrestiling. If you've never struggled in prayer, you've never REALLY prayed.
III. What are Hindrances to Prayer?: Business of life, television / entertainment, vain repetitions, unforgiving spirit, not loving spouse.
IV. What are motivations to Prayer?
No one will say on their death bed, 'I prayed too much!'
