We'll look in Daniel's message and see the God who graces, gives, glorifies, and tears down and takes away. The One we can entrust ourselves and all that we have into His care and cause.
It's important to note — that Israel is currently an enemy of the gospel. They are and have been preserved by God for a future work within the purposes of God. The times and timetable of this work rest safely in the hands of God. Because of His eternal covenant, they are kept as a nation for a future wonder in the wisdom of God. He has and will preserve them as a people but has not protected them individually from danger, death, and destruction. God also has a plan for all people. A resurrection… some a resurrection to life and others a resurrection to a second death. And only those who overcome in Jesus will be able to kept from the second death. We're to pray for the peace of Jerusalem — and that applies to much more than peace with their enemies. Individually, as with all men without Christ, separated from God, their greatest enemy is God. Only Jesus propitiates His wrath and makes peace on behalf of God and man. (Romans 11 ; John 5 ; Revelation 21 - 22)
