I. My Premise comes from an Application of God's Attributes
My main introductory point is -- When we isolate an attribute of God -- and LOVE IS the popular one in contemporary American Christian circles -- and state it as if it is were His ONLY attribute – we run the risk of misrepresenting God to others.
II. God's Wrath Examined from the Scriptural Examples
1. A powerful example of the wrath God falling upon man is the FLOOD in the Book of Genesis.
2. Sodom and Gomorrah is the most famous incident of God's wrath falling upon a particular community.
3. God's wrath upon Israel in the wilderness -- Exodus 32:7 Hebrews 3:7-11.
III. The Application of the Wrath of God to Modern America -- Romans 2:5
Immediately – on the TV – the newspersons find 2 different kinds of Christian leaders ready to talk about a catastrophe – and both in what I believe are WRONG WAYS OF THINKING.
1) The compassionate Christian He stands in the midst of the devastation and declares: “God didn't want this to happen.â€
2) The fervent Christian He declares, 'This is the wrath of God falling on us/them because of (fill in the blank)'
IV. How is the Wrath of God seen in America Today? Romans 1:18

Excellent Sermon! There is a good lesson here to remember, and that is that we need to be careful how we present God to the lost. Are we misrepresenting God to others?? Thank you Pastor for this much needed message.

Outstanding Series This series, 3 part, on anger is so good. I was surprised to hear that there are 500 verses about God's anger and wrath in the Bible. God is angry with the wicked everyday. God hates the wicked and He is just in His perfect anger. God's wrath is not the opposite of His love. God's wrath is the perfect reaction of a holy God against sin. These are just a very few good things I learned in this series.
