In our passage on spiritual armor, Paul exhorts his readers to 'Stand firm.' He uses this strong expression three times in our opening verses. In doing so, Paul is clearly placing emphasis on our need to hold our ground against the onslaughts of the Enemy. We are not to make an advance on the Enemy and we are not to retreat either. So,what Paul emphasizes, we need to take particular notice of. It is critical that Christians understand this all important posture in their walk with Christ if they are to overcome defeat.
